440032 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I've never seen an early Jabiru 1600 engine and cannot find a picture of one. Anyone have a pic they could share? or do you know, the rocker covers - were they held on by just one central bolt and maybe made from cast ALUM with Jabiru logo? Thanks.

facthunter Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Before that they had a KFM. made in Italy but they went BUST and Rod Stiff had to make his own engine. This bloke by any measure should be regarded as a hero in the Aviation theatre in Oz. So should Merv Richardson. Nev 1

Perfect BrendAn. Exactly what I had a feeling they were. I saw a pic of one in some plane recently, I thought it was a 1600 coz it sure as hell wasn't a 2200. Case closed - thanks. 1
Thruster88 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Interesting they had left and right handed heads. Most aero engines have only one type of cylinder. 1 1
