Moneybox Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Keep an eye out for this aircraft. I'm checking it out at 9:00am tomorrow at Jandakot. I was here this afternoon when it went for a test flight after assembly but I didn't know it was here until after lockup. I don't know if I'll get my bum inside but I can only hope 🤞 Apparently it'll be touring the country for promotion so if you have a spare $400k tucked under the mattress it might be a good time to pull it out. 150kts cruise with a 912ULS and retractable landing gear. 2 3
Area-51 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 (edited) That's great; we can all send them an email with the awesome opportunity available that if they give us an aircraft for free we will put up posts on our facebook and instagram pages to promote their product.. it would demonstrate they are serious. 👍 Edited February 12 by Area-51 3

Hopefully they'll give up soon because it's nearly 9:45pm and I need my beauty sleep.
Red Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Were a handfull of these at Blois back in 2016, very impressive to see performing but expensive. Unfortunately I didnt get to have a ride 1
Moneybox Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 I spent a bit of time with these guys this morning. Shark Testing.mp4 Andrew was testing the operation of the landing gear. It was interesting to see the setup. The nosewheel is steerable but even if you have the rudder turned at the time the nosewheel straightens itself out before it enters its little hole. 2
skippydiesel Posted February 13 Posted February 13 "...spare $400k tucked under the mattress.......150kts cruise with a 912ULS and retractable landing gear." It's certainly a Shark🤣 Sonex Legacy, Rotax 912 ULS, CS prop, fixed undercarriage, 150 knots (indicated 5500 ft AMSL) complete aircraft around the $140k AU mark😈 1 1 1
Moneybox Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 Get ready Australia! The SHARK 600 arrives in January 2025 This is the actual plane that the young lady flew around the world. Andrew and Leanne say they've borrowed it and will pass it on to somebody else in Victoria who will look after the promotion. One has already sold here. I got the instructions... I just wasn't game to press the big red button. It is fancy Skippy, I'm just upset the Christmas has just gone and I don't have a birthday until November. I suffer from ducks disease but no need for cushions in this one, just press the button to set the seat height. It's very very nice ☺️ SHARK.AERO launches its Australian dealership with a Demonstration Tour. Book your demo flight and be one of the first to experience the Shark in Australia! 2 1
Red Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) This young British Lady became the youngest person to fly solo around the world and used a Shark https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zara_Rutherford Record soon beaten by her younger brother (talk about sibling rivalry) Edited February 13 by Red 3

Andrew said there have been three fatal accidents in the Shark and in two of the three cases they should have had sufficient time to deploy the parachute but neither one did. 1
Moneybox Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 This one is powered by the 912ULS but it's available with the injected version and the turbo. They've made some little mods to narrow the engine. The carburettors are swapped so that all linkages are inboard. There's no airbox, it has two conical air filters and water heated carburettor sockets. The radiator scoop on the bottom of the cowl has an actuator controlled by the pilot so that it can be opened and closed to control engine temperature. An audible warning alerts the pilot of excessive cylinder temperature. The kevlar canopy and cockpit is impressive too. It looks like the occupants should have a helmet and Hans device and they'd be fully protected. 1 1
