Hi guys,

I'm looking for a pilots operating handbook for a 2004 Evektor Sportstar, preferably in metric. I've asked Evektor but they send me the book for 2006 which is duel tank and US spec.

I have this 144 page document.

but throughout it refers to the Pilots Operating Handbook that must be carried onboard. I already had one of these printed and bound but it was for the US model so imperial measurements and dual tanks.

I have this one being printed now because the data is correct however it's not the POH.

I think I've put enough together to get by. I'm heading south tomorrow morning with the Sportstar on the trailer. Inspection is set for Thursday 🫰

' Inspections '

Can an unregistered aircraft be flown to the inspection airport for the inspection ! .

OR , do you have to disassemble the plane , to road transport it .

Then of course  it will never get a pass , unless it is reassembled.

I had strict instructions from our RAAus to not fly it before registration. If you have the Plane assembled, it’s best to have the engineer come to you.

Probably bit late; but I'm not a fan of canopy covers when towing as can scratch dust and dirt into screen.  Realise your on dirt and gravel roads a bit.  Prefer to wrap in gladwrap plastic a few wraps then maybe some thin foam and more gladwrap / plastic wrap.

Hope you only had very low pressure in the tyres.300 kg +/-) wont get the trailer springs to soften the ride.😈

If it's an aircraft condition report for rego it doesn't need to be assembled or test flown.

I'm camped at the airport. Yes the cover moved a lot, I had it glad wrapped on the trip from Queensland and it was much better.

Not raaus . They issue them for test flying a newly registered aircraft.

Has to be before 2006 and not US/Imperial measurements. Mine is 2004 with a single 65L tank and 550 mtow. I tried but failed to get it from Evektor or online. I made up a few sheets of A5 printed both sides and laminated.

They will need to verify observing engine run, I have had two knocked back and the owners had to get the engine running for me. One was a restoration project and the other change of ownership and undergoing maintenance.  Otherwise its treated as unairworthy transfer of ownership and a further condition report (ACR) is needed before flight.

Yes that's true. My guy didn't need the wings fitted but because I've arranged to finish my flying lessons from Northam we'll put the plane together here tomorrow morning. As long as it's all signed off Nicola from RAAus said she'll put it through right away then Friday we'll test fly. At least that's the plan...

Yes, they do run the engine up but the rest can be checked disassembled as you know.

Mind you since Leanne left and the mt beauty accident they have got a lot stricter on everything.

That gazelle I was after prop for ,he ended up ordering a new bolly, but they still knocked back the aircraft for training because the engine rebuild 400 hrs ago didn't have a certificate from floods . It was rebuilt by a lame in an aircraft factory , you would think that would be enough.

They need Rotax authorisation. That's a Buggar.  The drifter a mate needed sold had a 582 fully rebuilt by an excellent highly experienced guy with a great history of rebuilding two stroke rotax and many other engines,  did not have the rotax authorisation so the interested buyer did not go ahead.  Had receipts to $5k and all parts listed and emails to Wal about the parts and a fully completed runin sheet record completed.  100% perfect but no Rotax authorisation.  It was 19 reg and the guy that bought it is having good fun and no issues.  Also got advice the Floods Line maintenance course is 3 days and $1500 ($500 per day) for those that want to attend. Early April.
