Marty_d Posted March 1 Posted March 1 We watched Furiosa last night - the latest in the Mad Max series of movies. Wasn't bad... Lot of the same road warrior action. Anyway the... vehicle... used by the lead villain was a chariot driven by 3 motorbikes, one of them powered by a Rotec! Not sure how he used throttle, brake or gears. 1
onetrack Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Marty, all is revealed in the video below. If you're in a hurry, start at 4:59 in. Did you notice the bloke sitting very low in front of the chariot tub? He's obviously got a lot to do with controlling gearchanging and throttle openings, the bloke in the chariot tub is just doing some pretty "iffy" steering, via the reins! 1
facthunter Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Oh, I thought it might have used a "BLIP" switch. There's been a few of those Rotac Powered bikes. Nev
onetrack Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Of course, Dementus is way behind the original motorcycle charioteers of the 1930's! These blokes make Dementus look like an amateur!
facthunter Posted March 2 Posted March 2 VL Models by the Look of it. Mid 30's . Thrashed to death. I would not like to come unstuck on one of those contraptions. nev 1

Litespeed Posted Tuesday at 05:46 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:46 AM All of those mad contraptions that are bike based in the movie including the chariot and multiple sidecar machines are the work of a crazy friend. He is Peter 'Bluey' Selke, prolific builder of 'Selke racing' chassis for road sidecar racing machines. Most champions for the last 30 years have ridden a Selke chassis. In my misguided youth I use to volunteer as a practice monkey on the race machines for testing. Extreme fun and danger rolled into one. 5 laps felt like been bashed by a gorilla for 13 rounds. Battered bruised and grinning ear to ear. 1 1
