BrendAn Posted March 10 Posted March 10 wondering if anyone has tried one of these and if they are a good thing. i like the idea of it being portable
Akazia Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Ya, I have the D3, use it as my backup to my Skyview HDX. Works pretty well, long battery life, takes a bit to fire up and calibrate after first start up.

Underwood Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I also have a D3 as a backup AI, It doesnt like vibration and I found it would wander when mounted somewhere prone to vibration but a reposition with some hardish foam in the mount I made cured that I don't use the synthetic vision/terrain option and imagine its not that usefull on such a small screen Also it needs a GPS fix for the horizon to come online. 1
Area-51 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Have flown with one a few times; works quit well for the price, but some iphone apps can pretty much do what the Dynon does just as well. 2
Roscoe Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Ive been using the earlier Dynon D2 for about 10 years without any issues. Its powered by USB to the cigarette lighter adapter 2
