tim900 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Considering an Uavionix Tailbeacon X . Has anyone fitted one of these to a Jabiru ? . Looking for mounting ideas / methods .
PureCaboose Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I have the same though, the tail beacon on a Jabiru goes on the top of the fin, there is not much room under the rudder to fit a rear facing light. Perhaps to the cowl that covers the elevator/trim actuator.
Area-51 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 (edited) Plastic aircraft can install inside the fuselage without affecting TX/RX gps/adsb. There is a GPS position offset option in Settings menu. The antenna orientation of the unit is important. Edited March 27 by Area-51
Kyle Communications Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I am mounting mine on the top rear of the fin of the RANS S-21. I will draw up a design then 3D print it and attach it to the top plastic section of the fin cap. Then the unit will fit nicely into the fin. It will be all pretty easy I think. I have the vertical stab and rudder built and will get to the design shortly. 1

Not really sure I want it inside when it should be outside.
