facthunter Posted Friday at 01:19 AM Posted Friday at 01:19 AM Then put your luggage outside with it's OWN wings. Why should others subsidise your excess baggage and your obesity. The plane is weight limited. It's called PAYload. Nev 2 1
Underwood Posted Friday at 11:04 AM Posted Friday at 11:04 AM I honestly get embarrassed by the behaviour of mankind in the 21st century
facthunter Posted Saturday at 12:23 AM Posted Saturday at 12:23 AM spacey, you don't pay and Pay again unless your luggage weight is above a certain figure. and sometimes even fuel is loaded at a more limiting figure to permit the operation. It still has to meet the legal reserves so ACTUAL weight is often a limiting factor in taking off and ranging as well.. You use fuel to carry fuel. IF you're heavy you can't make a high cruising level till later in the flight so you then burn more fuel. Cargo is Cargo even the self-loading kind and more dangerous than the inert stuff. Them's the facts. Who do you think should pay for YOUR excess baggage? A lighter plane will use significantly LESS fuel on any sector than a Max weight one. Nev 1 1
spacesailor Posted Saturday at 04:55 AM Posted Saturday at 04:55 AM We weigh our bags on different scales , just to be safe . Then the airport weighs on their scales, & we are over their limit, and have to pay a surcharge . Four bags with three as we weighed them & one bag a whole kilogram over . NOT just me , A number of passengers have said the same . spacesailor
planedriver Posted Saturday at 05:00 AM Author Posted Saturday at 05:00 AM This to allow passengers to be warm when they travel, by unpacking their case and then wearing 6 jumpers and a warm winter coat to make it all good 😜 1
spacesailor Posted Saturday at 05:05 AM Posted Saturday at 05:05 AM We didn't have that bag returned , Just the penalty . Extra payment. spacesailor 1
facthunter Posted Saturday at 09:26 AM Posted Saturday at 09:26 AM I'm too depressed to continue this. . Nev 1
onetrack Posted Saturday at 01:05 PM Posted Saturday at 01:05 PM I'd never get that close to the limit with baggage today. I learnt my lesson about 20-odd years ago, I packed a set of car coil springs in my bag and got overweight, so I had to repack my bag, and transfer weight to my partners bag, in the airport. They probably wouldn't allow that today. Besides, I've now learned how to travel light, and buy what I find I need when I get there.
Red Posted Sunday at 08:11 AM Posted Sunday at 08:11 AM The amount of crap most airline travelers take with them for a week away is ridiculous. 1
facthunter Posted Sunday at 08:13 AM Posted Sunday at 08:13 AM That's true. It's a SKILL to only take what you need that many don't posses.. Nev 1
spacesailor Posted Sunday at 11:19 AM Posted Sunday at 11:19 AM " A week " . 7 pairs knickers, vests, blouses. Ect., And the same for me . I would never be forgiven, if I only took three undies , normal, reversed, inside out . Missing . spacesailor
