BurnieM Posted April 23 Posted April 23 (edited) Not sure where to put this. https://investors.boeing.com/investors/news/press-release-details/2025/Boeing-to-Sell-Portions-of-Digital-Aviation-Solutions-to-Thoma-Bravo-for-10-55-Billion/default.aspx https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDEz8U44BKQ Edited April 23 by BurnieM 2
sfGnome Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Ok, so Boeing, a technology company brought down by having business people in charge instead of engineers, is selling these parts to a company which has business people in charge instead of engineers… 🫤 The blokes who developed OzRunways have done well for themselves (well done and congratulations), but watch it now slowly start to drift.
BurnieM Posted April 23 Author Posted April 23 Hard to say. Thoma Bravo does have a reputation for purchasing software companies and then developing them so all is not lost (yet). 1 1
facthunter Posted Thursday at 12:37 AM Posted Thursday at 12:37 AM Boeing boeing Gone. Once a GREAT company Perhaps the Best. Nev
kgwilson Posted Friday at 11:39 AM Posted Friday at 11:39 AM Boeings stock keeps declining after their disastrous failings ever since the Max 8 crashes. When things go bad a company usually begins to divest interests that are not core to its business. The US government is keeping Boeing going with its military contracts. Their foray in to space didn't go well leaving Astronauts stranded & doors falling off because they forgot to secure the bolts doesn't inspire confidence. I'd say that Ozrunways/Foreflight will probably become combined but will be in better hands (possibly).
