Training in the Melbourne area

Looks like I am going to be stuck in Melbourne for the weekend (5 - 6 July) and I am looking for something to do. I figured I might try and find a local school and do a CSU and retract endorsement. Can anyone recommend a local school/instructor that I might be able to have a chat with? I will be in Clayton near Monash Uni but am happy to hire a car and go for a drive although not too far!

The word "stuck" doesn't apply really. The problem is to find the right aircraft. IF you are RAAus only the aircraft you need is limited to a small number.

 

The Alpi Pioneer would be the go, so contact Michael Prendergast. (there is a pioneer thread on this forum) and he is located at Lethbridge,( I am not aware of anyone with the right aircraft closer, It is 36 Kms. out of Geelong on the Geelong-Ballarat road) and Bruce Vickers is the CFI at that place, who I have no doubt will be able to cover your requirements. Try Oasis Flight Training, they are shifting out of Point Cook and moving to Moorabbin Airport only about 15 minutes from the Uni. Speak to Kris. I'm pretty sure they have a twin with retracts not sure about CSU.
