Runway16 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Reports have it that RVAC had a SportStar damaged at Moorabbin a week or so ago. Anyone have any detail on the event? Rego? Damage? The SportStar appears to be a popular little machine and economical too.
Guest Ken deVos Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 All hearsay, but.... Inappropriate control input on takeoff led to wing-drop. Contact with ground caused damage to wing. No additional information and assumed no injuries.
Guest brentc Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 The SportStar would have been one of the RVAC GA registered machines. Speaking of Moorabbin, I heard that Oasis flight training formerly of Point Cook have just opened their doors with a Jab or two at Moorabbin.
Guest Ken deVos Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Brent, your comment gives the following post some credence and as for the SportStars, I understand RVAC at present is not an RA-Aus school. Try Oasis Flight Training, they are shifting out of Point Cook and moving to Moorabbin Airport only about 15 minutes from the Uni. Speak to Kris. I'm pretty sure they have a twin with retracts not sure about CSU.Have fun Simon
