Sapper Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Hello there. I have been a member for a little while but this is my first post (I was being reminded about my absence of a post every time I logged on so I thought I'd better comply). I qualified for my PPL almost 40 years ago (so I'm in the wrinkled and grey class) but having finished with mortgages and raising a family, I have begun to renew my interest in flying after a long absence by relearning to fly in recreational aircraft. I was certainly rusty but have managed to solo again. I have been impressed by recreational aviation and the friendliness of the people you meet at the strip and I hope to seek your experience in the future particularly in relation to purchasing an aircraft.
Mathew Ker Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Congratulations on going solo again after a long absence . If you've been a member on these forums for a while without posting, you'll know that there are many who are only too willing to share an opinion (even their own! ;)) regarding training, flying, buying etc. Great to hear some older people taking up the wings again. Regards, Mathew

Sapper Posted July 19, 2008 Author Posted July 19, 2008 Hello Neil - I started in an Allegro 2000 but am now learning in a Tecnam Golf. I'd like to try the school Drifter but am too heavy.
