Regards Geoff Australian 406 MHz Distress Beacon Register and MMSI Database Dear Sir/Madam, We are writing to you because our records indicate that you have previously registered a 406 MHz Distress Beacon or have been allocated a Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) number. We are excited to announce the availability of the 406 Beacon Register at www.beacons.amsa.gov.au. This web site provides you access to your information held on the register. This Register is your way of helping us help you should you find yourself in a distress situation. Information contained on the Register is critical to search and rescue operations and to your personal safety. We invite you to visit the web site and activate your account. Once your account is activated, we ask that you check and update your details as required. To activate your account you will need to supply: your registered email address, and either the Hex ID/UIN from your beacon, or your allocated MMSI number. We look forward to seeing you soon.
