Blackhawk Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Can anyone shed any light on where this aircraft originated, the builder or designer, or any information at all would be appreciated. Graeme
Guest Howard Hughes Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 It could be an early prototype of this!
skybum Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Bugga, another of my supposed original ideas thought of by someone else.
Blackhawk Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 Not totally sure but I have a feeling it's a french design ? Graeme
Guest brentc Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Very nice. It would be more impressive if it had 2 or more seats. I can't help but think that the engine pods would be contributing to a lack of aerodynamics versus an aircraft with engines fitted within the wings, but then again probably wouldn't make much difference. I await the answer........
Guest Carl Booth Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 aeroclub Moulins Vichy France Betcha that's taken at the French experimental aircraft club at Moulins Vichy France. I won a cup there in 91 with my SV-2 Vampire. Drop a line to them asking about the plane. If possible in French .. but I guess they'll take English. Carl [email protected]
Blackhawk Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 Thanks Carl, I have emailed them for information (in French). A language translator program comes in handy from time to time. Graeme
Guest Carl Booth Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 RSA Moulins Hi Graeme, Mistake ...I was there in '89 with the SV-2, not 91. And the event was run by the RSA ( French Experimental Aircraft Assoc). I think they've changed the name in the meantime though. As far as I know, I flew the first Australian built UL at such an event in France, and took out the prize for the longest inbound flight to the meet !. I took off in Sth Germany, and flew via Basel (Nth) to Moulins, Sth of Paris. Great days. Hope they reply with the info you want .... C
