Hi Pete, Welcome to the forum. What are you building and what are you flying? I learned on a Gazelle, had a Gazelle for a while (I loved that plane), then sold her and bought a J160. I have had her for one year, put 190 hours on her and just arrived home after a trip to the Gulf of Carpentaria in it. Am having a great time flying.

I built my own aircraft,from scratch,back in the mid eighties.

 

I used to sit up there and couldn`t believe the magic of what I`d done.

 

There`s nothing like it.

Thanks all for the welcome. I am thinking of building a Jodell D18 and using a vw engine for a power plant. A two seater is a must have as the wife will be flying with me.

Gee whiz,aren`t you lucky to have a wife who wants to fly with you.

 

Don`t let her learn to fly,you may have to take co pilots seat.
