Guest Wingman98 Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Personally, I think South Perth is the way to go. We used to go in each year for the Australia Day fireworks and the view is less inhibited by trees and buildings. But on the other hand, we used to do a flyin on Langley Park on the city side (through the SAAA) where they setup the airfield, and the sound of the aircraft reverberating off the buildings is extraordinary. (4 Harvards in formation sound absolutely awesome!!) The South Perth foreshore usually has a lot of displays set up as well, so there are plenty of things to do there. If I were going again I would take a train into the esplanade train station and either walk or cycle to the South Perth foreshore. Or get the ferry across the river.
