Light plane crashes near Caboolture airport

Queensland police say a man had a lucky escape after his light plane crashed, north of Brisbane.

 

The plane had engine failure and crash landed not far from the Caboolture airport at about 11:30am AEST.

 

It is believed the man has minor injuries.

No Injuries

 

Thanks Ian Just to let you know that I suffered no injuries expect for the pride one but then I am here to talk about it.

 

After a 1600nm trip 2nm from final destination this happens at least it wasn't over tiger country.

 

A big thanks goes out to SAR in Canberra the local Police ,Fire Brigde and Ambo's also a big thanks to Caboulture Aero Club for the assistance in recovering my plane.

Great to hear that this turned out ok with no injuries to yourself. What caused your engine failure and what type of aircraft were you flying?

Ben it is the terrier 100 parked now at YCAB I have to collect the wings yet.

 

The cause of the engine failure is not certain yet I will not know until I get to the engine but a full report will be posted.
