Admin Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Light plane crashes near Caboolture airport Posted 1 hour 50 minutes ago Queensland police say a man had a lucky escape after his light plane crashed, north of Brisbane. The plane had engine failure and crash landed not far from the Caboolture airport at about 11:30am AEST. It is believed the man has minor injuries.

After a 1600nm trip 2nm from final destination this happens at least it wasn't over tiger country. A big thanks goes out to SAR in Canberra the local Police ,Fire Brigde and Ambo's also a big thanks to Caboulture Aero Club for the assistance in recovering my plane. Thanks again Peter

The cause of the engine failure is not certain yet I will not know until I get to the engine but a full report will be posted. thanks and hope to see you around. Peter
