Guest Caithness Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Evening all, I've been reading occasional threads here but have had little time to contribute. I won my wings in August 2001 in Jabirus at Murray Bridge after seeing them at the Barossa Airshow in May 2000. Since then I've become an Instructor, having semi-retired from my fulltime work in Adelaide last year. My main motivators were to increase my own safety by learning more, and to enjoy passing on the thrill of flying to others. Now I'm instructing on Jabirus 160 and 170, Skyfox Gazelle, Texan 600 and I'm revisiting my tail-dragger endorsement in a Lightwing. Now there's a challenge! This year I flew to Narromine for Natyfly which is my longest nav by far, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now dreaming of building an Arion Lightning, but I wonder about the rising fuel prices and whether our sport is on the verge of pushing beyond our affordable reach.
