Adrian Lewer Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 hi all, if i got my PPL in australia what is involved in flying in the US ? i plan to do my PL after my Raa license and will be going to the US in 18 months or so and would like nothing more to fly a little whilst there ?
Guest Michael Coates Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 You have to get a US licence, PM me for details
Bob1957 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 as far as im aware an australia licence holder is able to apply for a us licence no worries but if a usa licence holder is applying for an australia licence they have to pass flight rules and proceedures b4 getting 1.
Adrian Lewer Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 thanks for the reply's. i am a fair way off the PPL for now, but who would be the appropriate people to ask in the us NTSB ?
facthunter Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 FAA? Contact Michael Coates. He was over there recently. Nev
Guest skipd Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 FAR 61.75 spells it all out. www.faa.gov is the website.
