flea_flyer Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 My name is Gerry and I'm learning to fly. Mostly training from Devonport in Tasmania, although the FS is based in George Town. Also had a couple of lessons out of Tooradin last year. Sometimes I feel I have a long way to go, but I take the view that this flying thing is meant to be enjoyed and so I take each lesson as it comes. Before starting RA training I had about 10 hours instruction on a motor glider through GFA, which taught me quite a bit about the air as distinct from the airplane. I guess I tend to favour gliders, but I've also come to really respect the Jabiru LSA for its toughness and balance. I also fly model aircraft, which is totally different again. To sum up, I suppose I've always been interested in flight of one sort or another. BTW I'd like to compliment Ian and anyone else responsible for this website. It's one of the best! Keep up the good work. Regards Gerry
