Guest skipd Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 From the States here........Central Virginia. Doing SLSA/ELSA maintenance and instruction. Working with the Jabiru 250 and the Jabiru motors that come with the Indus Thorpedos. Fly a C-140 for aerial pictures and tailwheel endorsements. Also restoring an Acro Sport II with an O-360. FAAASTeam representative. Visit the airport at www.bluebirdaerodrome.com. Great grass roots aviation spot.
Guest Maj Millard Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Welcome skip, I work maintenance also here in Australia although I did gain an A&P when I lived in the States. We have a nice old C140 sitting in the hangar also, in dark green/silver alum. Cheers for now
Guest skipd Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I'll be going for the A&P test in 18 months- can't wait to get that out of the way. Ihave been working with an I-A FAA insopector at KGVE- www.bluebirdaerodromec.com on all sorts of bug smashers- non-SLSA types to get the hang of everything. I really like playing the mechanic game. Looks like it may be a good retirement gig in a few years.....keep in touch. My C-140 is a '46. I use it for aerial pics and tailwheel endorsements. Currently trying to sell it to get into an Aeronca or Cub- back down to LSA.
