Flying Librarian Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 It will be a pleasure to join the ranks of fine pilots and riders. Just passed the P's for the bike. Now just have to avoid the cheese cutters, Armco and car drivers ;) Flying and Riding Librarian 1
stevron Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I bought at VB Ariel 600cc single in 1970 and still have it, I rode during my apprenticeship years. It is fitted with a dusting side car now and gathers dust in the shed.
facthunter Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Well Dust it off and "retyre" it and lookup Australian Ariel Register or AOMCC Forum UK. There's lots of them being ridden. No it isn't worth zillions of dollars but that is not a bad thing. Nev 1
Bandit12 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Or donate it to me - I'm sure I can find a dusty corner of the shed to keep it in!
facthunter Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 You have to get it on the road. Manual magneto and a side car. THAT will separate the men from the boys. Nev
IanR Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I bought at VB Ariel 600cc single in 1970 and still have it, I rode during my apprenticeship years. It is fitted with a dusting side car now and gathers dust in the shed. I had a 39 VH500 with a sidecar - fantastic lightweight outfit. As the others have said it should be out on the road !
stevron Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 No time to play with all the toys and some get a greater priority than others The VH is a OHV and the old VB is a side valve like the M20 1
facthunter Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 With ALL of 17 HP at hand. Clydesdales though. Nev
PA. Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Put my feet up on the weekend and kept them up more than any other rider in my class. 3
dazza 38 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Awesome PA, I have ridden dirt bikes for 34 years but never a trials bike. Trials riders make excellent enduro riders eg - Graham Jarvis . Well done
