philipnz Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I pondered over this for weeks. I went flying with a guy that built his own zodiac and he had a car radio in it. He said if he was doing it again he'd just use an mp3 player. So i ended up just getting a small mp3 player that velcro's on the panel with a socket into the intercom. Just load up your favourite songs for 17 hours battery life. Mine also has an fm radio that works well. It's a Samsung.
Guest Bendorn Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Contact Cliff Banks at Swan Hill. He has one in his J170.
Modest Pilot Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 I have 3.5mm plug input for my MP3/CD on my XCOM. Its via the headset plug on the MP3. A cheap portable mini FM radio sounds better through the input socket than the radios own speaker. Handy for local and boating weather.
Guest Rocko Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I had an aux input rigged into my radio/intercom. Brilliant, since it cut off with inbound calls, etc. Gotta love flying to music ;)
Spriteah Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I posted some comments under the radio group on that one Bush.
