Guest Brett Campany Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 G'day all, well I'm stuck at home on three days off and in between study, I like to get on FSX and have a jaunt every now and then. I figure that a few of you guys also have FSX so I was going to set up a server in the multiplayer section if anyone likes to get online and do some flying when those days don't permit us to get out and about. What you'll need of course is FSX. When you enter the multiplayer section you're asked to make a Gamespy ID. Do this because it allows you to get online. You might want to download some light aircraft as well. Some I recommend are these: Evektor Sport Star EV97 http://files.fsnordic.net/?download=2157 Update - http://files2.fsnordic.net/files/zip/General_Aviation/EV97_V11_080113.zip http://files.fsnordic.net/?download=2167 I've also done a fix for this aircraft and the instructions are in this link below. http://www.recreationalflying.com/showthread.php/20237-fix-the-balance-problem-with-Evektor-SportStar FSX Aeroprakt A-22 Foxbat Package FSX Aeroprakt A-22 Foxbat Package - Ultralight/Airsports Aircraft Downloads - ComPilots Aviation Downloads FSX Ultralight Interplane Skyboy FSX Ultralight Interplane Skyboy - Ultralight/Airsports Aircraft Downloads - ComPilots Aviation Downloads FSX - I.C.P. Savannah UltraLight package FSX - I.C.P. Savannah UltraLight package - Ultralight/Airsports Aircraft Downloads - ComPilots Aviation Downloads RNZAF CT-4E Airtrainer http://www.airforce.mil.nz/downloads/zip/ct4enzv1.zip I also recommend some scenery downloads from (FTX) Full Terrain Experience Go to the FREE DOWNLOADS link and get some of the airports and the AU Blue Demo which is all of Tasmania. I also highly recommend downloading the 169+ free airfields for some interesting cross country navs. OK, make sure you read the instructions on downloading these aircraft and scenery files, if you have any problems, put them up here and I'll help you best I can. When you go into your Multiplayer section of FSX, look for the "Recreational Flying" server. It will be password protected and that password will be ultralight Every now and then I'll be jumping online and starting the server, when I do I'll post it up here. Happy flying guys!
Guest Brett Campany Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 The server is currently online.
BLA82 Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Tried to connect and it says that my version of FSX doesn't match the host?
Guest Brett Campany Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 You might need to get the Service pack 1 and 2. Google search it, it'll be on the Microsoft website. For those with FSX Accelerator, you won't need Service Pack 2.
Guest Brett Campany Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Ther server is up and running again, this time with the password ultralight in effect.

Admin Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I have updated the post with the correct link but here it is as well: http://www.recreationalflying.com/showthread.php/20237-fix-the-balance-problem-with-Evektor-SportStar
Guest Jake.f Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 The link to the Sportstar file is a dud link for me...
Guest Jake.f Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Sorry for double post, but I cannot seem to get the Sportstar working on FSX. I managed to get the file, extract it correctly and so but it does not appear in FSX as an aircraft to choose??
