Just joined up although have been meaning to for a while. Managed to obtain GA PPL in 1987 and flew around 180hrs, mostly Cessna 152 172. Piper 235, Lance, Cherokee Six. Had to give it up after Paul Keating decided we all desperately needed a recession. Have recently become involved almost unintentionally, watching a friend build a Savannah. I found one on Ebay in Spain already built, while surfing the net and put in a bid and got it. Had it shipped,no engine but found a goody and now I am flying again. Never dreamed I would have my own plane again and be able to fly it out of our back yard. There is about 6 of them around my area so we all hang out and fly to each others airstrips, kinda like mates with motorbikes except they fly. My son is now embarking on his RAA licence, I took him for his first lesson at Tocumwal yesterday. He loves it too. The Savvy is so much fun.
