Which 2T oil for my two stroke rotax engine

Hi Recco's,

 

The great oil debate continues. I hope that this forum can help us all decide the BEST possible oil for our machines. As good oils are all we have at keeping our machines healthy.

 

All those of you that would not mind taking pictures of your sparkplugs during one of your usual maintenance intevals, and sending them to me with the oil used and hours on plug would be most welcome. [email protected]

Michael, Used Castrol Active 2T religously for years in my 582 Drifter. Decokes at 300 hours were a breeze with not much build up on rings. As opposed to decokeing after Full synthetic oil use where on one occasion I actually threw the two pistons away as they were so gunked up. Also no rust on internals with 2T, and lots with synthetic. Easy to find also in the 4 ltr containers. Cheers
