Hey Everybody!

I just returned home from a fantastic flight to Busselton, Western Australia. It was the first time I have flown the Tecnam Sierra from Bunbury to Busselton - only 30nm. Its been a great little aircraft to fly in and I am doing an endorsement from GA to RA which I have now completed. Busselton aero club are now doing RA training and have a great team down there for those that may be interested. One of the instuctors has over 23000 hours of experience! Hence, it has been great having someone like that around. Busselton training area takes in some great sites of the south west of WA and the airport is very new and better still very little traffic, so I am getting plenty of hours in when I am there. The Sierra handles like a dream!

Bye for now, Jeff.

Cheers Brett,

I am flying out of both Bunbury and Busso, but just at the moment Busso hasnt got that much action and is so easy to get some air miles up, those radio calls in Bunno get annoying and the strip is 5900ft - two touch and goes in one go.

Jeff.

We bring the Dornier down to Busso quite often, done one aborted TO down there, had plenty to run!

Wouldn't mind flying out of there though in something smaller. maybe later this year you can join the wife and I when we head down to Leeuwin Estate for a fly-in lunch!

Sounds good, I still haven't finished my certification yet so it'll be a few months away anyway but we'll do it for sure!

Yeah i hit my hours hard over 2 weekends and got certified after 5.2 hours, i was lucky with GA and Gliding hours otherwise it would have been a long and expensive trip.

Keep going guy's it will be worth it, i can tell you, Getting the CASA monkey off my back makes things so much easier.

A good way to go i did the same last weekend cert...in 6.5hr at Busso, now NAVX over the next few months ,,, probably need to get a better GPS than the one i use to locate fishing spots.I reckon there is a few possibilities in the Busso training area.
