Hi everybody.

 

My name is Clint and I live west of Sydney with my wife and soon to be new baby.

 

After a few years of working for private equity vampires, I have decided to follow my dreams and aim for the clouds. The one thing that keeps my mind constantly occupied is flight, I go to sleep thinking about aircraft and wake up from dreaming about them. Over the next 12 months my aim is to get enough hours and practice in to become a flight instructor. After shopping around I've begun flying through Dave's flying school at The Oaks.

 

I look forward to meeting people with similar dreams and welcome wisdom and advice from seasoned flyers.

They reckon flying is a disease(which no doubt is true), and with any type of disease it's costly to maintain...

What type of license are you going for: RA-Aus with instructor rating or the whole hog of the CPL?

RA-Aus with an instructor rating is the goal, a CPL will possibly be the next goal. From my experience the best fun to be had with most things is at the grass roots level and some people leave that behind so fast they don't have time to enjoy the finer points.
