phvdw Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 has someone experience with the "waterless" coolant from Evans, actual I'm using a 50/50 water/glycol mixture with 0,9bar cap (old version), sometimes the water runs hot on the ground (we've sometimes hot days in Belgium but rare), and comes to cold in the air.
dlps73 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Hi phvdw, Have been using Evans Coolant in my Rotax 912 ULS since August with no problems. CHT runs between 80c and 100c in a variety of OAT's. Engine hours 65. Cheers.......Doug
Guest Maj Millard Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Have used 50/50 demineralized water and anti freeze/anti boil coolant (either valvolene or Castrol) for many years now in both 582 and 912 engines with no problems, and no corrosion. The Rotax SI912-016 R1 now recommends that or Evans. Haven't tried Evans, and probabily won't. Cheers
