Hi Skykid,

 

The latest Australian Pilot (the magazine produced by the AOPA) has a flight evaluation of the Grumman G-44 Widgeon......

Picked that magazine up for the first time today, Its actually pretty good. I was surprised to see my friends in there about the UAV competition though, gonna have to give them XXXX now :thumb_up:

Grumman on an aircraft is like Sterling on Silver. I mean the big jet ones for carriers not the little lighties, they were built during the same period when Grumman built city buses for survival. Hey buses are pretty tough too. Did you ever see the landing gear tests required by the US Navy for carrier based aircraft. Saw the one for the Hornet. A straight drop from 20 feet in slow motion.
