Guest ozzie Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 IF I WAS DA KING If i was the King, what would i try to do about the problems of Sydney's Airports and the lack of them.? The first thing, make a law so that developers and others could not build residential developments along the approach and departure paths for at least two kms long and at least a K wide. This law extends right across the Kingdom. i think these corridors would make nice havens for wildlife or if appropiate make them market gardens so we at least will continue to have fresh food to eat. Either side of the airport proper would be industrial to give a noise and safety buffer from the residential housing. After all the airport users have had enough of their loud whinging and threats. Any Polly who continues to use that old political shuttlecock of Badgerys or Wilton as Sydney's second airport, that has been bouncing around for the past thirty years, will find themselves put up against the wall and made an example of. Same goes for peckerheads who build near an airport and then start whinging. Aviation fuel suppliers would be invited to attend these gala events and given a nod and a wink. Camden will be soley for "The Sport" with the only commercial ops being flight, engineering and controller training ect. Bankstown becomes "heavy" GA and RPT (dash 8 type stuff) with high speed rail link to Kingsford Smith and link it into the existing Sydney rail system.. Williamtown becomes Sydney's second airport. The RAAF is downsized and moved to the other side of the ranges. The Army say they need the RAAF close so they can respond quickly. Well i can make the response time much faster. I'll move the RAAF from Richmond to Holsworthy, plenty of room for them. Realign the runway at Richmond so it does not put the traffic over the town and that gives us another airport that can be used by all. But better yet i'll seriously consider bunting both the Army and RAAF over the ranges with there mates from Willy. Now we have two other airports. .The RAAF and Army can have a small security response group at BK and SYD. Just to keep the bad guys on there toes. Warnervale is already set to be surrounded by industry so we can leave that right were it is and set it up as a secondary airport to take the load off Willy and YBK.. Just to peeve the developers off i would deem the Hoxton Park site as having to be found that it was contaminated with hazardous chemicals during WW2 and can never be built on. The developers will have to try and sue the British as they were the ones who did it.( hey I'm the King I can set anyone up). But the best thing will be during my Coronation where the night will be lit by the glow of thousands of ASIC cards being burnt. As Mel Brooks once said, "IT'S GOOD TO BE DA KING!

Tomo Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 ozzie for king. Who will be Queen? I don't know about being a Queen! but I might work for a prince ;)
Guest ozzie Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I'll just settle for a court jester Looks like Hiperlight knows his way around the sus areas of Sydney. But hey, really, what would you do to sort out all the lack of affordable hangerage and stop the dissapearance of airports within the Sydney basin and nearby areas. Melbourne is heading for the same. Drove past Warnervale today not a sole in sight just a few aircraft with grass growing over the gear. Looks like a Flightstar just rotting in the sun. Must be a weekend only place. plenty of room for hangers. Ozzie
