compsci Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I just bought a J230 at Sebring Florida for delivery in May. I don't believe that Jabiru(US) provides a tow bar. Has any one located/using a tow bar for the 230?
quentas Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 There was another post with the same question not long ago (about 3 pages back on this group)
brilin_air Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 It depends on what size trailer you are going to tow. Brian
Ross Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 A towbar attached to the front U/C wheel axle (bolt) sounds like a very sensible aid that might reduce the tendency by most willing helpers to pull an aeroplane around by pulling on its propeller. The Jabirus with their wooden propellers must surely be easily disturbed by uneven pulling or pushing on their props.
Bazil2 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Towbar J230 On the J230 if you take front wheel spat off there is a hole just above wheel in the fork . I built a bar that slides through and locks in you will need to drill spat to suit. Cheers Bazil2
compsci Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 I would appreciate your sending me a photo of your home made tow bar. You can send it to my email address: [email protected]. Thanks
