Adrian Lewer Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Hi all just wondering what a recon 0 hour lycoming 0-320 is worth. Am looking at a RV-7A kit. Was just a passing thought.
facthunter Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 RV Kit. One of the advantages of buying an RV kit is that you get a NEW lycoming at a good discount. Don't bother with a second hand engine. False economy, under these circumstances. Nev..
Adrian Lewer Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 yep true. what would a RV-7 kit be worth plus an engine ? Allot of $$$ I imagine
RetiredRacer Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Here Adrian you can work from this to give you an idea http://www.vansaircraft.com/public/compcost.htm
Adrian Lewer Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 Thanks for that. I think due to the cost I will stick to my original plan. 77K for what I want on the Estimator :ah_oh:
gofastclint Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Tracey Crook from Real World Solutions has successfully re powered RV's with a Mazda rotary, his work is backed up by the fact that all his flying is done in his own aircraft powered by what he sells with many hours of trouble free operation. RWS have even made an Engine management system with redundant computer. Just something different and the fact that he backs his work up... we all like proof right.
