Tony2 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Would anyone have an Airstrips data base for Oziexplorer . If not what is the best way to gather and process the info. And also is there a directory for backyard strips which are just private strips and not for landing there except with an engine out. Thanks everyone Tony
ahlocks Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Yeah. I did or do have one somewhere .. If I can find it, I'll attach it here a bit later Can't remember where I got it from or how to import it into Oziexplorer. If I do I'll post back here. Airfield.txt Airfield.txt Airfield.txt
lbarnes Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I just purchased a 'Maptrax' WAC file and the airfield.txt file came with it. As yet i haven't figured out what Oziexplorer does with the text file. Luke
lbarnes Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I have had a look at the airfield.txt way point file and it is a dogs breakfast. I have re-edited it and it now imports into oziexplorer. The edited file is below. In oziexplorer if you go to the load button and select 'Import waypoints from text file', point it to the airfield.txt file, select the WGS84 datum and Bob's your uncle.
