Guest donnyl Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Hello to All, I am only a few hours into my LSA certificate and enjoying every minute; currently flying Jabaroo 160/170 from palamana S.A. I'm sure to have a lot of questions about flying and hopefully building a kit if my financial manager (wife) seconds my motion to buy a aircraft; look forward to hearing all the tall stories Smooth Landings
Guest Brett Campany Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Welcome along Donny!! You'll love it here mate, it's the best place to be when you're not flying!
Guest donnyl Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Cheers R461, I like the sleek look of the sportcruiser, I can only hope after the LSA cert and a few endorsments I can fly into Narrowmine and test a few dirrerent AC. for now I'll have to be happy with the J160 & 170
Admin Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Welcome Donny - you are amongst many like minded people and some very highly experienced aviators right here that are only to willing to help with any questions you may ever have - hope uou enjoy your stay
Deskpilot Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Donnyl, Great to have another member from Murray Bridge on board, even if you do fly with the 'other lot'. I hire and fly with RPA. Always has, and always will be rivalry 'tween the two (long story). Safe flying mate, and enjoy the forums.
Guest donnyl Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Thanks Gents, Didn't know about the rivalry Doug, I'm sure I'll hear somthing about it sooner or later, might catch you in the circuit and would always be happy to pick up some tips over a Amber after. Cheers
Guest Pop-top Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Hello, Murray Bridge is a great little airfield. So far I've only seen it from the sky on short navs where I touch and go and then wave goodbye again. But, welcome and I may hear you in the circuit! :)
Deskpilot Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Jodie, 2 things to remember about MB. Rising ground just before the start of 02, get too low and too slow and you'll be picking up pieces of the undercarriage if you made it in one piece. Form the other end, 20, there is often a down wind just short of the fence, be prepared to add that power. Best bet is to aim to land a little long in either direction, the runway is long enough. Perhaps you should also try a t & g on 27 , rising ground on grass with turbulence from the tree line, good fun some days. 90 is down hill, obviously, just try not to overfly the farm house on approach, in both directions.
Guest Pop-top Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Thanks for the tips  I like detailed descriptions and visuals from locals, very handy, cheers!
Guest Pop-top Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I keep tips and tidbits of info like that with my ERSA, never know when it may come in handy
