Barefootpilot Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 There is a bit of a story behind that one Clint that you should probably do some research on first before calling him an idiot. Yes probably not the best decision where made but sometimes these things have to be done to save a life. Unfortunatly in this case is cost four.
Guest palexxxx Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 This video was posted on this site a year or two ago. I agree with your comment Adam.
BLA82 Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 A horrible outcome from a desperate situation. As said it costed four. Definately not an idiot
markendee Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Young Clint, Have a read of this: "Tuesday, March 21, 2006 An aiplane from the Patrulla Aerea (Air Patrol) crashed in Mosquera, Nariño, a small and remote town in the south west part of Colombia. Immediately after takeoff, the plane, a Cessna, was pushed by heavy crosswind, and crashed into a house, killing a boy, his mother and a doctor on board. The pilot, Rafael Arenas, aged 42, who had been working for 10 years on the Air Patrol, survived with burns on 90% of his body, but died later in the Intensive Care unit of El Valle Universitary hospital. The Air Patrol is a Colombian ONG, created and staffed by pilots and doctors to bring medical care to people in the most abandoned regions of the country." Also mate, these people are volunteers doing their bit for their community. Enough said I think.
Guest Maj Millard Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Most unfortunate, looked like a 182 with either an overload, rear CG, power problem, or bad tail wind. Maybe a combination of them all....................
