Tomo Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I just came up with this idea... for those flying from up here in South East Qld down to Avalon in the next day or so, I'm sure it would be very handy knowing what the weather is up to along the way... So if you live on the track down to Melbourne, could just post weather reports as the day and time permits you... Just an Idea I had...
markendee Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Tommo, Watch this website closely. Lara weather forecast, Bureau of Meteorology Warnings & rainfall Not only does it give you a pretty decent forecast it also tells you what is happening right now and if you click on 'past 24 hours' it will give you the trend. Once there you can punch in any location on the way. Do not dismiss this this site lightly - it is a pearler. Mark D
Tomo Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 Thanks Markendee, Not dismissing the site at all... I love using the weather stuff on here... But, I was more thinking of, looking out the window sort of reports... this morning is a beautiful example of it, the weather map says it's blowing a gail in Dalby (which it is) but where 40klm south of Dalby (and they use the Dalby weather map for Cecil Plains as well), and it's dead still here, not a breath of wind... The only reason I know that is, because we were just heading into town for some more training, when the instructor called and said it's blowing mad in town... (from the South-East!) and where 40k's south and calm as can be.... quite amazing actually...
