omelette Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Hi guys, Recreational Flying dot com keeps coming up in my google searches and access to the first post only in the threads were becoming a tease so I finally signed up. Currently residing in Tassie, and apart from a few test flights in a Jabby, a C172 and a Foxbat(loved the Foxbat), my aviation background has been rotary wing only. Looking to find/buy a nice comfortable aircraft. I'd like it to cruise around 100kts, have good endurance, land in short fields, and have really good visibility. Being trailerable a plus. Don't know if I possess the patience to build but we do have long winters down here. I love the look of the Sierra & Cheetah, the Pioneer and the Sabre (suppose that makes me a low wing man) but would consider a high wing. A Lightwing lands in a paddock where I work occasionally and I'm starting to develop a soft spot for it. This is going to be my next aircraft to test fly. Looking forward to chatting on the site and hopefully one day meeting a few at a fly-in day. Andy
Guest Maj Millard Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Welcome OMELETTE, wondering if that is a good name for a pilot. The Lightwing is a good plane, and there are a lot more out there too......enjoy................
