Guest Maj Millard Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Pre Hurricane biplane just before they found one wing was better than two ?..
PapaFox Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Hurricane, touched on by Hillson to create a slip-wing version
red750 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 That's the one. http://www.biplaneforum.com/The-Interesting-Hillson-FH40-Slip-Wing-Hawker-Hurricane.html
planedriver Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Well done PapaFox. I thought it looked like a Hurricane wing, but didn't know about the second wing version. That red750 certainly knows how to dig them up. First of all I thought it was a Hawker Fury or Demon, but the wing shape was wrong, so I was stumped.
planedriver Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Not sure what this is? But have been told on dubious authority it was used to deliver a keg of beer to Ian's tent at the last Norromine meet.

planedriver Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Well done! So it wasn't an Ian Baker delivery truck after all
PapaFox Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Whilst that particular one is British, it's also got Czech heritage, and ultimately was placed on the VH- register
red750 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 You obviously know or know of the aircraft, PapaFox. In fact 3 of these aircraft appeared on the Australian register. Let's see if anyone else can guess it.
