Deskpilot Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Haha, can't remember the name but it's what I used as a basis for my shortened TSR-2 ultralight. Unfortunately, I've cleared my model and only have this graphic left. I think it might have been something like HB-2.
pmccarthy Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 OK, I got from a website this is a one-off design called the Heuberger-Rinker H-5 Stinger, N3638G, at Tucumcari, New Mexico. The Stinger was an original design of Mr. Larry (Lawrence K) Heuberger who started construction around the early-1960s. Prior to completion the project was acquired (around 1968) by Mr. Bud Rinker (Santa Barbara, Ca) who almost certainly did some limited testing in 1970. It is a two-seat aircraft andpowered by a 140hp Lycoming O-290-G engine.
Deskpilot Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 H-5..........well I got the H right at least. Just found some other images:
pmccarthy Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 FMA IA 58 Pucará is a twin engined military aircraft: Bugga! I knew it was Argentinian but read the wrong caption. For my second try, DINFIA IA 53 Mamboretá

red750 Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 There's a very interesting story to this aircraft and the unique manner of concept proving. When someone guesses (identifies) it, I'll post a link.
kasper Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 GAF Hawk - design aim was to delivery construction materials around Alaska And agree - it was hit with the ugly stick quite a few times ...
red750 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 That's the one. Here is the link referred to above: http://www.oldwings.nl/content/gafhawk/gafhawk.htm
kasper Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Sorry no banana on that piaggio - Try another continent ... and they are two different manufacturers
planedriver Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Changed my answer in above post when I realized the Piaggio has two fans. Am I close?
kasper Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Sneaky! going back and changing the wrong answer to the right one ;-) Yep the first one is the OMAC Laser 300. Double points for what OMAC stands for and the origins of the design ... And the second one is?
