kasper Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Oh and extra brownie points for nominating the pilot ... not me ... but I have acted as ground crew and ballast for him in a balloon or two ...
kasper Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Nakajima G5N Damn - Yep - must try harder and show less of the planes ...
planedriver Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Praga E114 from Chech Republic. Get's cold there in winter, so PIC needs knees close to engine to keep warm, as he can't afford thermal underwear?
kasper Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Bump => what are these two?
aj_richo Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Pair of Cohen Condor's or Stolaero's..? not sure, can't remember the wingtip configuration
kasper Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Pair of Cohen Condor's or Stolaero's..? not sure, can't remember the wingtip configuration I'll give you that - they are both Condors - and I can't recall the difference between the two ... but I know that these two are condors flying out of the St Mary's strip
red750 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Nearest I could find was the Mustang. The photo I had of the Condor had the engine mounted behind the pilot with a pusher prop, and did not have the ailerons.
kasper Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Nearest I could find was the Mustang. Mustang had square wing tips
aj_richo Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I think the Stolaero came first, then the Condor. A couple of fellows I knew at Raymond Terrace/Medowie had one of each back in the early 80's. They were fairly similar. 1
kasper Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Nearest I could find was the Mustang. The photo I had of the Condor had the engine mounted behind the pilot with a pusher prop, and did not have the ailerons. Well the two in flight are condors - see below ;-)
Deskpilot Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 This one should test you ... Whatever it is it's bloody neat. Any more info on it..........did it fly for instance?
pmccarthy Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Looks like 1970s clothing. Looks like England or Europe in winter. Doesnt look as if it would fly, maybe a ground trainer. Or a brave experiment.
kasper Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Well yes I'll give you the 1970's ... but even then it was a copy/replica based on a 1920's original. I'll let it run till Wednesday before I post a pic of the original - then all you technically capable ones can internet search the pic to find it ;-)
