Guest Flyingsoon Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Hi all, Im not much of a 'blog' person but here goes... I'v been training for a few months now at MKT airstrip in the Northern Teritory. Learning in a strut braced 582 Drifter, just love the view! Did my first solo today after 4.3hrs with a strong downwind. I was rather surprized at how differently the aicraft handled/climbed one up, especialy with the wind, but all in all I enjoyed the flight. Later on I went up solo again and it was getting rather gusty and I was bumped around a bit. It was alright on the ground, however as the trees surrounding the strip blocked out most the wind. All in all great fun!
