flie43 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Gidday Nezzie and welcome We have a fly away there every year and come up for St Pat's races usually in C 182's but hope to bring my Jab one day Terry
bushpilot Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Hi Nezzie - and welcome to the forum. You will get a lot of value from being here... I'm planning a weekend to BH in June to meet family who will be holidaying there for a week. Can you advise where the best place to tie down for 2 nites is? Do you have rooms for your school on the airfield? If so I will stick my head in and say hello.. Thanks, Chris
Nezzie Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 Hi Terry, Great to hear from you mate, well, next time you are on your way up, give us a "holler", and we'll meet at our Club! Regards, Nezzie
Nezzie Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 Hi Chris, Great to see you are headed our way! Tie down your bird at the tiedowns on the airfield, and ring 08 8088 2722, The Lodge Motel. Close to CBD, all room types for your budget, and ring them upon your arrival, and they will pick you up from the airport. (Plus they are really nice). We suggest all our students, friends, and visitors visit them, (best deals), and you are most likely to meet our "extended area locals" there, because it is so well known by them! (That way, you get the feel of our area for free!) Mention "Nesbit Flight Training" advised you! Cheers mate, Nezzie
Nezzie Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 Hi again Chris, Love your photo, & would love to take you up on your offer some time, it's really nice to see everyone out there offering all manner of assistance, isn't it? Regards, Nezzie
bushpilot Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Thanks Nezzie... Since I posted my Q to you, I have been called to Auckland the same weekend that I intended to be in Broken Hill.. So we have to defer to another time; but when that comes up, I will certainly contact you again. Does your school have a website? Rgds Chris

Having recently obtained my nav endorsement I am looking for places to fly and stay so this is a good distance from Murray Bridge to aim for for one of my navs. Hope to see you soon. Cheers Diana

bushpilot Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Hi Chris,You gotta go where you gotta go! Website is Nesbit Flight Training | Broken Hill | NSW | Home Cheers, Nezzie Nice website, Nezzie.. Jab looks very well fitted out. And reasonable training charge - for an "Airliner".. You seem to be targetting both Rec. Av. and GA pilots. What % of your students move on to PPL and beyond??
