Admin Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Some good news came out of Natfly regarding a possible extension to the life of the Gazelle wings. Remember all things take time but we may in the future see 500 hourly inspections starting at 4,000hrs of the wings. This will naturally require them to be de-skinned for the inspection at each 500hr interval but will extend the life of this great and popular aircraft. Even if you fly say only 100hrs a year most Gazelles will still have many years of happy motoring to come but knowing that there is a possibility that the wing life may be extended I am sure would be comforting to many Gazelle owners. Stephen Bell, the RAAus Tech Mgr, wasn't making any promises offcourse but it is something that he is working on
