Guest TOSGcentral Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Yup this is a strange one for a recreational aviation forum. But with the amount of people visiting these days – it does help me spread an enquiry net wider. I have an interest in early American cap and ball, black powder revolvers. I am working on a project to convert a couple of the larger examples into carbines (small rifles) by the use of extending their barrels at one end and attaching a detachable shoulder stock at the other. If any reader has, or knows of, a detachable shoulder stock then I am eager to hear about it. I need one, preferably two. I am interested in hearing about anything (including unwanted guns or non-firing replicas and especially 1847 Colt Walker) but primarily interested in a stock for a Colt .44 3rd Model Dragoon or Colt .44 1860 Army. Any help would be appreciated. Aye Tony

turboplanner Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I didn't mean it Tony, how can I outrun a two gun Thruster!
Guest Maj Millard Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Tony, a couple of leads I may be able to help you with but you will need to give me a day or two to dig up some numbers for you. One is an old flying friend in California who is actually a descendent of a civil war person, and who participates in Civil war recreatations. The other is an old friend from Perth who has been a very serious collector since Adam was a boy. He might be worth talking to, re: your requirements. Cheers Ross.
Guest TOSGcentral Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Thanks Mag, That would be appreciated Tony
