LJS Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Hello, I would like to know whether there are any microlight airstrips out around the west - north western area of Sydney? I stay in Quakers Hill and have seen what appears to be one sometimes two paramotor aircraft taking off in the vicinity of the old Nirimba airfield early on a weeken morning. I want to know whether there is anyone that is flying from a strip in this area or knows of a strip in that area? cheers Len
Guest David C Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I assume by paramotor you are referring to a powered parachute type of aircraft , often called a power chute these days . I'm not sure of any operational airfields in the NW sector of Sydney , I wish there were in fact , however , I do know that these power chutes operate from a strip known as Bennets Field near Richmond . I'm not sure of the exact location but I think its near to the Castlereagh Rd area . Hope this is of some help .. DaveC
