BLA82 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Here are a few, The cub and lightwing pics were at Boonah and the others at YCAB. I have high quality copies but had to shrink them to upload. Quality went down:sad:
skydog Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Nice shot vorticity. Jeez, I can see this is going to be one hot competition. Gonna hafta dig deep.
skydog Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 a couple of shots A couple of shots to start with.
bushcaddy105 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Why fly a bushplane? Campsite and "airstrip" on way home from Avalon 2009. It's at the junction of the Murrumbidgee with the Murray, near Boundary Bend.
pudestcon Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Balloon reflection This shot was taken August 2008 from a hot air balloon in the Avon Valley Northam Western Australia. The reflection is from a branch of the Avon River near Spencer's Brook for anyone who knows the area. The basket is the dark rectangle shape centre of the balloon and accommodates 20 people plus the pilot, all standing up. The pilot positions everyone where he wants them grading from light weight people in the centre to heavy weights on the outside. How do I know this?....... He placed me on the outside:laugh: Pud

slartibartfast Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Last days for May Only a few days left for this month, so get your entries in.
ahlocks Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Nothing really exceptional about the shots until you consider that they were taken by a sales rep holding one of these on his lap. It's an infra red sensor with an inbuilt camera and storage card - It's a part of a burglar alarm system!
Captain Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Only a few days left for this month, so get your entries in. Ross, How the heck do you do that so well? Your shot looks great, yet if I took that shot it would just look bland and like a brown pussy in front of some blue sky with a bit of white stuff in it. Steve, Interesting what great focal length that alarm camera has. Me think it mazing. Regards Geoff
ahlocks Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Interesting what great focal length that alarm camera has. Me think it mazing. I did wonder why he brought product 'glossies' and a sample with him when I invited him to come for a blat in the tin can. Preflight, he was happily playing with his toy "Bugger the sales pitch, this flyin' stuff's fun!" Turning base 23 Taxiing back in.."Look mum! I didn't die..." They'd be good little units to set up in hangars to see who's stuffing around with aircraft in the owners absence.....or beside a certain motel's coke machine to see who's kicking the carp out of it.

No carp anywhere near our joint. I'll PM ya, Steve, as they look good and useful. Sorry to sidetrack this thread Slarti.
slartibartfast Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 Sorright. I have disqualified myself from winning because I organised the sponsorship. Just seemed a waste to post a "Last Entries" reminder without a pic to go with it. Geoff - a good camera makes all the difference.
Tomo Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Geoff - a good camera makes all the difference. Yep, no skill at all! just pushing the button and watching it do the rest.... A bit like those EC145 Helicopters! apparently all you do to land is push the landing button, and watch it land itself!! Great peices of engineering if you ask me!
brilin_air Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 If Slarti can put in a pic of his so can we. The 160 home at Bacchus Marsh. -Linda
Tomo Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Well seeing that you've added pictures of your acft, it must be my turn..............
