Last weekend the Snowy River Aviators held an open day.

 

About 20 aircraft covering a fair gamut of types turned up, and most of the townspeople (2 of the 3) visited to check things out.

[ATTACH]8047.vB[/ATTACH] I lived here for 10 years when it was a single 1000 acre property. Now it's subdivided to the max. We used to ski on that dam (jet driven Chev) but now only the deep bit has water.

There's shots of it in both Pacific Flyer and the RAA mag this month.

 

I spent this weekend doing maintenance, and even that is a fun weekend. Had to have a quick (hour) flight on Saturday to warm up the oil of course. What a beautiful day.

 

Sunday not so good. 3 aircraft had to stay at Goulburn because they couldn't get back to Camden due to low cloud. Made for a very social weekend.

 

One of them was a superb Dimona motor-glider. I'd love one of those too.
