Guest Adam C Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Hi All, My name is Adam. I haven't had any flying experience yet but I am looking into doing training and then hopefully buying something along the lines of a Skyfox Gazelle, which seems to get pretty good reviews. Just as a conversation point, My Uncle was a pilot - a Cropduster - many years ago. Robin Crossingham. Some of you may have heard of him. His Son has followed in his footsteps and has his own Cropdusting business in Qld. If anyone has any useful information or specifications on the Gazelle or something like it, please post me a thread. Regards, Adam Crossingham:thumb_up:
clouddancer Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Gazelle aircraft Hi Adam, Welcome to rec flying. Gazelle's are a great aircraft to start flying and enjoy around the local area. I did my basic training in the Skyfox which is the tail dragger version, and you can't get a more affordable, enjoyable aircraft. Secondhand they go for about $35-$40K and cost less than a car to run. Good luck
Guest Adam C Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Hi Keeness, Thanks for the reply. That's exactly the information I wanted to know. My friends and family were concerned that upkeep on an a/c would be too much to afford. What're you flying ATM? Adam C
Guest Adam C Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Thankyou very much for the encouragement! I'm really looking forward to starting. I would be very interested in reading through that *.PDF. My e-mail is [email protected]. I will also check out the Skyfox/Gazelle section of the forums. Thanks again, guys. ;) Adam C
