Deskpilot Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I'm not into model aircraft as such but this is bloody amazing. Talk about dedication, one mindedness, stickability and pure skill. this guy has it all. Now I'm warning you, this is not a small site so don't open it unless you have time on your hands, a lot of time. Enjoy: Inhaltsverzeichnis
LJS Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Years and years of hard work planning and dedication!!!! Luckily he has made molds of everything as he has gone through the creation of the model!
planedriver Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Absolutely amazing! You could'nt put a price on what the finished model would have been worth. Doug you could have warned us that there were 80odd pages to download, and that the little boy in the early photo's is now probably married with half a dozen kids, but he would have learned one hell of a lot along the way. I didnt see anything of his misses (neither did he) but maybe he's like some ultralighters, and prefers it that way. And to think that I thought my Airfix Lancaster Bomber kit took a long time to build. Thanks for sharing the link. Regards Alan

turboplanner Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Wouldn't you be peeved if some kid who'd bought an ARF (Almost ready to fly) decided to try it out in the park next door on a common radio frequency. These guys are passionate about detail. At my local RC field a fierce, yelling argument broke out between three guys because one of them had built a modern aircraft, but the only "pilot" in the hobby shop was dressed in brown leathers and a scarf and he used that!
Guest M_I_T_C_H Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 wow! thats alot of detail...looks great
Guest Maj Millard Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 That guy is out of control............can he build me an Ultralight Mirage 111 ??
Guest ron dunn Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I,ve built a couple of 2 metre stand off scale R/C models but-WOW. got to page 60 and had to give it away. this guy is an absolute fanatic at what he is doing.. Think I,ll go out and glue a few balsa bits together!! Happy flying Ron
Phildo Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Ahhhhhh ........... The black arts of the RC modeller. As I am still active in the model scene I see alot of very fine work done by these strange little men in their sheds that we all secretly admire. I saw a bloke I knew buy a plastic kit from a toy shop and 'weeks' later he brought the 1/4 scale version to the field for its madien. Its unbelieveable to think he could upscale and build soooo fast. He said he just used the model and its drawings and photocopyed up to size and he went from there. Nice work on this jet though. He needs a mid life crisis and a step up to real flying. Phil...
bushpilot Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 and if you dont have enough patience to work through the 82 pages of his website - here is the climax! Inhaltsverzeichnis
Downunder Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 And if you wanted your own 1:1 scale.......Pride Aircraft: Sukhoi SU-27 Flankers
Chrisso Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 That guy is out of control............can he build me an Ultralight Mirage 111 ?? Hey Maj, I hear that someone in Victoria is going to 'Try' to get an ex RAAF Mirage up and flying again. I saw it in a recent issue of 'Flightpath' magazine. It says that one of the only things missing is the Brake Chute. Now that will be a sight to see on the airshow scene.
