Congratulations to Kim and Rob Skyring for doing a great job of running this event at Kyneton.

The first officer and I set off from Lethbridge for Newlyn and whilst we had 107 knots indicated (slowed down a bit because of the bumps) we had the grand total of 58-60 knots ground speed!!

When we turned the corner at Newlyn we had a rapid increase in speed to 75 knots over the ground.

All up 58 minutes!!

It was great to meet up again with Nev (Facthunter) and to finally meet Ken De Vos.

It was also a treat to see some of the great aircraft that flew in. My favourite was the Ryan.

Once again thanks to Kim and Rob.

Regards

Mike

Imagine If you were flying a Drifter, or worse still a Trike!!006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif You'd make better progress going backwards....

But that would be two much of an Ahlocks trick;)keen.gif.9802fd8e381488e125cd8e26767cabb8.gif

The assortment of goodies on the table for morning tea was rather impressive. My morning tea morphed into lunch.
